ACG Charleston—those words mean a lot to me. I’m Roberta Moore, a recent transplant to Charleston. Before I even unpacked a single box, I made sure to transfer my membership from ACG St. Louis to ACG Charleston. In this video, I share why this group has been such a powerful part of my career—and why I hope to see you at a future event.
ACG Charleston is more than a networking group. It’s a hub for professionals who want to grow, scale, and lead. I joined ACG back in the 1990s while working in St. Louis. I stayed involved because of the people—their energy, their ideas, and the real value I found in every meeting.
My own career has evolved over time. I started as a CPA in internal audit. Later, I moved into public accounting, tax, and asset-based lending. Today, I work as an executive coach with a focus on emotional intelligence. I teach leaders how to use emotions to lead with both confidence and empathy. This helps them stay warm and firm—so they can have greater influence over those they lead.
Joining ACG Charleston was a clear choice. It helped me connect with like-minded professionals right away. If you’re new to town, building a company, or looking to grow as a leader, ACG is a great place to begin.
